The project is a collaborative effort to bring out Dental awareness among the community by organizing a team of efficient undergraduates. The project has spanned over Andhra Pradesh region including various districts - Hyderabad, Chilkur, Nalgonda. The main aim of the project is to focus on raising the standards of oral hygiene and to prevent the development of dental diseases in under-privileged areas by conducting free dental check-ups, dental and general health awareness sessions and also detailed treatment plan and preventive measures to the patients are given.The project maintains a database on the oral health status and treatment needs of the patients , thus ensuring an Evidence-Based ,feasible and sustainable model of oral care for the patients.
The Project will be covering the schools in and around the state initially are gradually across India.The project in schools will be starting from LKG to Class 12th.Training and involving Students ,Teachers, School authorities and Parents.The Project is not only limited to schools but also for the general masses. General Camps are held in the city for everyone especially concentrating on the elderly and the poor.We conduct special camps in Orphanages and spend time with the orphans and try make them feel like a part of this family.
The Financial Sector is seen upon by the entire team of Dente-Nova, the expenditure per camp is controlled and contributed by all the core members and the details are stored concisely.
Projected expenditure for future endeavors:
The proposed plan is to spread over the state and gradually across India. Hence, we are planning to upgrade our screening camps to not just screening and spreading general and dental health awareness ,but also to treat patients on-site (Atraumatic Restorative Treatments and Minimal Invasive Dentistry).This would require proper funding to successfully take-off.
The project is ongoing successfully in the Hyderabad. To continue expanding this Project and to take it to the next level additional funding is required.
